Superstar and legendary actor of Nepal, Rajesh Hamal has given his appearance in more than 200 movies and has won more than hundred awards including hundreds of nomination. He entered the film industry with the movie “Yug Dekhi Yug Samma”. Hamal received a National Film Award for “Best Actor Debut” in 1989, for this film. After his first movie, he started flourishing in the eye of Nepalese. Not only that he has done more than Bollywood movies and Punjabi Movies. Hamal appeared on different television show including ‘Wai Wai Quiz Whiz’ and in hundreds of advertisement.
Birth Place And Education
Hamal was born in Tansen, which is situated in central Nepal. His father Dr. Chuda Bahadur Hamal and mother Renu Hamal always supported him throughout his life. He did his schooling at Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher Secondary School up to class 8. Then he went to Moscow, Russia with his father who was Nepalese Ambassador to Russia. Rajesh Hamal finished his M.A in English literature from Delhi University. He was the gold medalist there in his studies.
There are many more movies he has worked on along with television programs. In 1991 and 1997 Nepalese magazine rated him among the 50 most handsome people in the Nepal. In 1995 Kantipur magazine ranked him among the 20 sexiest stars in film history in Nepal. A well known and most celebrated personality has fans that include children of very young to people of very old age. We can surely say that he was the ruler of Nepali Cinema.
Hamal got married to his longtime girlfriend Madhu Bhattarai. The only first marriage at the age of 50 years. On 24 May 2014, he married his longtime girlfriend of just 28 years old. The married was carried out secretly at Hotel De Annapurna but later he threw a reception party with thousands of guests. He married at this age because of family pressure and pressure from his fans. Its been many years the couple have been married and there is no any sign of giving birth to a baby. Almost all Nepali know him well and everyone is eager for his upcoming movies.
He considers his hair as the trademark. And his popular dialogue “Yo Hat Sathi Ko Lagi Salam Ho Bhane Dusman Ko Lagi Falam Ho” is most popular to the youngsters.
