Family And Education
Malvika Subba is the third child of the family. Her father belonged to Military force and her Mother is a Nurse. She spent her childhood studying and enjoying her hobbies in Kathmandu, Nepal. Then she did her high school (Plus Two) education in management. Similarly, she studies BBS from Tribhuwan University. Finally, as per her interest, she graduated from Pokhara University in ‘Mass communication and Journalism’.
Malvika Subba Career
She started her career back in 2001 as a VJ in channel ‘Divyaa Drishti’. After winning the title of Miss Nepal, she started her work in ‘Call Kantipur’ program. Also, Suraj Singh Thakuri was the co-host during that time. She even worked in international programs like ‘Voice of India’ in 2008. Similarly, she was the host and head judge of third season of ‘Mega Model’. Likewise, Malvika hosts program ‘Jeevan Saathi with Malvika Subba’ in Himalayan TV.
Similarly, she has appeared in the movie “Good Bye Kathmandu”. And as a producer, she has co-produced the movie “How funny”. Similarly, she has acted in movies and dramas like ‘God Lives in The Himalayas’ and ‘Hamri Shiwani’.
Because of wide popularity, Malvika’s demand in the fashion industry was also huge. She was featured on magazine covers, print advertisement, and TVCs. She worked as the chief editor for one of Nepal’s leading fashion and lifestyle magazine, Navyaata. And later Subba established her own retail clothing store with in-house designers. Also, Malvika Subba is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of HAA (House of Alternative Apparel) and (HCI) Himalayan Climate Initiative.
She is also a social worker
As a social entrepreneur, she has been a brand ambassador of MTV EXIT for human trafficking. Also, she is Goodwill Ambassador at ‘Child reach Nepal’. For year 2007, she was Youth Spokesperson for Hunger Free Campaign. And for years 2006 – 2009 she was HIV/AIDS Youth Leader by UNICEF.
Malvika Subba Husband
Malvika Subba husband is ‘Riyaj Shrestha’. They met when she was in the USA to participate in ANA Fashion show in 2009. There was kind of love at first sight, when the two met each other. As Riyaj was ‘salsa dancer’ by his profession, the two learned dancing together.
