Born and raised in Kathmandu City, he was interested in acting from childhood. He used to participate in different drama in his school. Similarly, he got opportunities to work with professional artists in the town.

Kushal Bista started his career as an theater artist. He has been working in Shailee Theater for decades. He alongside Sahin Prajapati are the leading actors and trainers in this theater. Before this theater, he worked as child artists in Mandala Theater and Gurukul.
After years of experience, he made appearance in Nepali Movie Industry. He debuted in Nepali movie from ‘Lukamari’, directed by Shree Ram Dahal. The Movie featured top actors Saugar Malla, Karma Shakya and Rista Basnet.
He then started making short YouTube videos and eventually moved into web-series. One of his popular web-series is ‘Wrong time’. It is basically related to the teenager’s romantic life.
