Childhood and Education
Kengal Mehar Shrestha was born and raised in Bhaktapur, Nepal. She had a very good childhood and grew up with her family and friends. Also, she belonged to a normal class family and supported her a lot in singing.
Similarly, she completed her high school education from Kathmandu. She has studied up to a Master’s Degree. She studied MBA (Master’s of Business Studies) at IIMS college located at Putalisadak, Kathmandu.

Kengal Mehar Shrestha used to sing when she was in primary level school. She used to sing in different radio programs along with her father. She joined the ‘Music Musica Institute’ in the year 2014 after she returned back from Cyprus.
A few years later, Nepal Idol came to Nepal. This opened the gate for her professional career. Also, she was the top ten finalists in the season 1 of Nepal Idol 2017.
Kengal Mehar Shrestha has her own band named ‘Type III’. Similarly, she also has an official YouTube channel named ‘Kengal Mehar Shrestha official’. She joined YouTube on Apr 5, 2018.
