Chhulthim Gurung was born and raised in Tapting, Solukhumbu where she spent her childhood. Later, she moved to the Kathmandu city for her future career. Here in Kathmandu, she carried out her education and media work together.

‘Her first step towards media field was by working as the RJ in Gorkha FM 93 Mhz in 2007. It was the first and the most successful stage in her life. Later she got opportunities to work as a RJ (Radio Jockey) in many radio station. Later she shifted from RJ to VJ (Video Jockey) and started working in ‘Nepal One Television’.
Chhulthim Gurung is also a model. She has appeared in music videos like ‘Juni Juni’, ‘Aankha ko Nani’. Moreover, she started her career in Nepali Movie Industry back in 2011.
