Aslesha Thakuri parents also are from the same field as she is in and they always supported her. She after completion of her schooling from hometown moved to the capital. And completed her HSEB coarse from NASA International College. Then she moved to Thailand where she achieved her bachelor degrees in Film Studies.

After returning back to the country she made her debut in Prem Geet 2. She herself stated that the team of Prem Geet selected her because they wanted a new face in this movie. However she replaced Pooja Sharma who was a very bold and perfect actress for the movie. Also because of the previous movie controversies, the team had to choose the new actress.
